Established 1798
Connecticut's Grand Lodge was established in the early years following Prince Hall's death, becoming one of the New England strongholds of Prince Hall Masonry.
Connecticut developed as a strong northeastern jurisdiction early in Prince Hall history. Its proximity to Massachusetts allowed for regular communication and mutual support with the original lodge. Connecticut Masons were active in community service and maintaining the intellectual traditions of Freemasonry.
The Grand Lodge of Connecticut operates as part of the greater Prince Hall Masonic structure, maintaining connections with Grand Lodges across the United States and internationally. As a Prince Hall jurisdiction, it upholds the principles established by Prince Hall and his successors.
Like all Prince Hall Grand Lodges, this jurisdiction is committed to community service, charitable work, education, and supporting the intellectual and moral development of its members and the communities they serve.
